One of the best ways to heal, is to listen to the experiences of other people. That is the goal of this page.Â
Below are Stories from a blog recording posts by anonymous persons about their experiences interacting with police. From the 1930s to today. There is a long history of police abuse, corruption, and violence. One of the best ways to create reform is to understand how police abuse destroys people's lives. The below posts come from people who have documented their experience when interacting with police in America. All posts are anonymous.Â
I see peace officers from the same police department scurrying around after break-ins in the commercial buildings nearby, I want to point out to them where they can get security footage from adjacent property owners - but because they are really mean and disrespectful - I keep my distance. It is obvious - they hate property owners in my neighborhood because we are Black. There are times when I want to tell the poor officers that the burglar already left the building - but I do not dare!
When I have complained about people possibly breaking in nearby buildings, they get upset if they don't find anybody. When I reported that somebody was blocking my driveway - they yelled at me. There was one time when somebody put waste into an unlocked dumpster, and left - and several police cars came out to investigate, along with a helicopter! But because there is such hatred and bad will towards property owners who are Black - I let them flail in their search for non-existent suspects. I see how many cops are sleeping on the job and wasting time doing nothing - I believe there is a lot of fat in police budgets. The only way to cut fat is serious, ongoing auditing. I certainly don't feel comfortable with so many gun-tooting people in my neighborhood all the time - who hate me just because I am Black.
A journalist that I was collaborating with was murdered. I got lots of death threats out of nowhere - and yet - police wouldn't arrest the killers. The only reason police arrested the killers was due to public pressure. The journalist was Black - and the perpetrators were let out of federal prison after being convicted of trafficking weapons. Lots of people wonder if they were actually hired hit-men for people who wanted to silence the Black journalist.

We have owned property in a very nice part of town for over 40 years. When an attempted burglary left pry marks on our door jam, and we told the police we saw the intruder's hands and outline through the window, and were waiting for him with baseball bats on the other side of the door - they dismissed our account. They told us that "we were imagining" a break-in, and that we should just get better locks.
1991 – LAPD Venice Station
I was not able to file a police report - due to an unprofessional officer. I had to file a complaint, I thought. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with an officer who just refused to take a report. He was White, I am Black - do the math.
I am a senior citizen with gray hair and a gentle way. I live in a wealthy Black neighborhood where people are friendly and seniors love to talk to each other at the shopping center. Sometimes it is the only social contact we have. But I don't socialize at the local market anymore because of an experience I had in 2007 - with criminals and the security guards.
A white van parked in the shopping center parking lot where I was talking to a young woman parked in the car next to me.
Suddenly, a White young woman in tight yoga pants came between our cars, pulled out a spray bottle and started spraying "fake perfume" into our faces. I told her that I had allergies and asked her to stop. She began to argue about her boyfriend being an Iraq veteran and that they needed the money. She appeared to be high on meth. We finally convinced her to stop spraying and leave us alone to socialize. It was the first conversation I had had with a new friend in years - and this evil Karen had to mess it up.
When I reported it to the shopping center security guards, they defended the woman, and even tried to pick a fight with me when the boyfriend came. Later on that year, their manager came up to me and threatened to have me followed by the local police department. I keep hearing rumors that Hispanic gang members have friends in my local police department, and lots of cops from the same agency have been put in prison lately for corruption. I reported it to the shopping center, and I think they fired the security firm - but I never reported it to the local police. I don't trust them.
My cousin's boyfriend was thrown in jail for a minor unpaid warrant. He wound up hanging in his cell - and he was not suicidal. My cousin said that he owned some very shady people some money - and that they had gotten to him in the jail, where she also worked. It put a chill on her until she retired - because she knew that deputies that she worked with murdered her boyfriend, and many other innocent inmates. She retired when she had seen enough.Â
When I visited Whidbey Island, Washington, I was crawling up the steep hillside highway towards the village hotel - where I was booked. Anybody who's been on the spooky, high security protected island - knows that it is very dark at night, and that speeding up the highway could result in a serious accident.
I was traveling between 25 and 35 miles per hour, but the local police stopped me for going 45. I know that they knew that I knew they were lying. They never gave me a ticket, and they changed their tune when they knew I was consulting with the U.S. Navy the next morning. Before they saw my credentials and learned who I was - I knew that they stopped me just because I was African American. I am an analyst, and I know all the signs of racial profiling. If I had not been working for one of the top military contractors in the world, I probably would have been hassled and even arrested - for being Black on Whidbey Island.
Whidbey Island is one of the most beautiful places in the Western, U.S., and you see wildlife one minute, It is one of the coolest places in the state of Washington, and one of the biggest islands on the West Coast. But because of my very spooky experience with the local police - I don't know if I will ever visit again.
When a VW bug started to come close to me on the freeway I realized he was trying to intentionally hit me. Gang members were doing his, and then carjacking the vehicles they involved in a minor fender bender. Or they would rob the other driver, and in some cases - shoot them and leave them on the side of the freeway. I pulled off the freeway immediately, and then did a U-turn on the street I exited on. I was immediately stopped by LAPD, and they drew both weapons on me - ordered me to not speak, and when they did ask me why I drove my car so evasively - I told them that about the attempted car-jacker. I left him so far in the dust - in my sports car - that he was still sitting at the stop light - at the exit - facing both officers and myself. I told them that that was the vehicle that was trying to carjack me on the freeway. They ignored me, wrote a ticket while helicopters sprayed insect killer on top of all of us.
I reported the matter to their supervisor, who totally backed them up. I realized that police will risk their lives and health to harm an innocent citizen. I won't invest in Los Angeles. Sorry. But the cops and on the side of the crooks.

A lovely African American woman took care of my disabled sister, but her husband used to beat her and pimp her out for cocaine and cash. He once stood in front of our house (his wife's employer) and yelled horrible words in an intoxicated rage. She was arrested for solicitation and told us that when she was in a holding cell - she had to fight off about five women who tried to rape her. She was pretty beaten up, but there was no help for her from social services. It is unacceptable when people are put in jail for non-violent crimes and subject to attacks from violent inmates. I don't like this.
My co-worker, a young and very happy surfer-dude that came to work one Monday totally torn up in the face. Completely bruised and battered. He said that he was jailed on an unpaid traffic warrant, and that he "didn't want to talk about how he got beat up". I was afraid that he had been gang raped in our town's notoriously dangerous prisons. He neve seemed the same guy, and I realized that that weekend had destroyed his life.

The creepy security guard surrounded my girlfriend, and demanded to "take her upstairs" and search her. I stood between them and my girlfriend and demanded they search her right in front of the cameras. He wanted to fight me until I got in his face and told him that I wanted to call the local police. I found out later, he served time in prison for selling stolen property. No wonder where he obtained the stolen property. He used to shakedown the retail managers and demand that they leave their front doors open after they closed - so he could loot their inventory at will.
One more thing - when we went to LAPD to report it - they told us to sue. When we sued the parent company - the security guard refused to give a deposition from prison and we couldn't pursue the case against the company responsible or the LAPD. Also - our lawyer dropped the case under the pressure of the nation-wide retailer (which is now facing lots of sexual harassment claims by its own employees). I don't shop at the Beverly Center since this incident, and it ruined my engagement and possible marriage to the love of my life. LAPD sucks - and so does Beverly Center!

My old girlfriend was a physician to the stars, with a recognizable name, and a really popular clinic. Shen she reported some immigrant clinics as soliciting her to perpetrate insurance fraud (on a massive scale) the federal agency she reported it to - ignored her. When she told the press - they called her and threatened her life.

I was passing out leaflets in Beverly Hills, and two mall security guards came out on public property and harassed me. I photographed them and reported it to local police. I was ignored by the desk officers.

The brand new Porsche tried to pass on a very sharp curve - and it was totaled, but only after it damaged our family van. My brother was driving and reported the drunken but wealthy Black man who was now stumbling around - accusing the people he crashed into of being at fault. The police agency let him go - and allowed somebody to drive him home without testing him or arresting him. Most drunk drivers who total their cars and damage other people's cars go to jail. We later found out he was connected to somebody in city hall. We are Black too - but I guess we don't rate.

I told the officer where the stolen car drove to, and later afterwards. I told him that when I talk to other officers, they don't speak, and that other citizens would probably help them more - if they were more friendly to citizens. He was a police officer and said that he didn't believe that officers were dishonest. This is why they are so deadly - they are brainwashed into thinking that they can't make mistakes. What a joke.

My mother was returning home without my little sister, who was still in the hospital after a pre-mature birth. Suddenly the nurse brought her out to the parking lot when my mother was being helped into the car by my father. My sister was born pre-maturely but was not given oxygen by the attending doctor, and it caused my sister to be disabled her entire life. She talked to law enforcement and lawyers about finding out who harmed her daughter, but she was never able to get help. Neither law enforcement nor her judge or lawyer friends every showed much interest in the doctor who destroyed my sister's life. Local district attorneys don't even investigate rape cases, and have shown very little interest in helping my family find out who tried to murder my little sister when she was born.

I was going to UCLA Medical Center, when a co-ed asked me to sign a petition that violated my personal religious beliefs. I told the young co-ed why I would not sign it, and she said she was going to call the police on me - because I was talking "hate speech". I am Jewish-Christian, and she appeared to come from a Jewish background - but didn't agree with the Bible. What do you do when people who claim to be against "hate" hate you for your skin color and your faith? I walked away after telling her I loved her.

I live in Los Angeles, but used to live in Inglewood. I'll never go back to Inglewood because a couple who fell asleep in their car - at an intersection - was shot dead. They were startled by the police - who shot them when they woke up suddenly. When a U.S. postal worker answered the police knocking at the door in the middle of the night - the Inglewood police shot and killed him. And the Rams are building a stadium in this death hole? I know that if I were killed in the City of Inglewood - they would try to denigrate my humanity and character - as a way of quelling outrage by the public. I hate Inglewood. I hate racist cities and will go out of my way to avoid spending a penny in them. The thing that hurts me about the case of the couple being killed - nobody seems to care about them or want to talk about them - and Inglewood is a city lead by Black leaders. I vow to avoid Inglewood as long as I live. I hurt. I don't even know the couple - but I hurt. Hurt enough to remember my pledge to never even drive through Inglewood, California. I'll take Florence, thank you.

I was talking with a young LAPD cop - an African American woman. She thought that people who got their cars towed because of unpaid registration - were lazy and deserved financial crisis that often results from a towed car. I realized she was a very privileged woman because she had a job that allowed her to take other people's cars - people who were paying her salary in taxes. I stopped talking to her, and other arrogant cops I knew - they seem like very materialistic, elitist, mean and selfish people.

During my childhood in California, my inter-racial parents were stopped by police all the time. My sister was disabled, and my parents had to remove the wheelchair from the trunk every time she got out of the car. My friends, even my relatives could not, would not relate to me until Black people started getting stopped a lot in the 80s and 90s. But White friends and relatives still don't listen to stories about my interaction with police.

A woman on crack turned her car right into my truck - and it made her car bounce like a pinball - all over the street. The LAPD policeman who was the partner of the officer in charge - tried to get with the intoxicated woman - despite the fact that her husband and apartment were right next to the accident scene. He tried to pass some of the responsibility of the accident to me - and his partner had to correct him. It is this type of officer who will kill somebody - in exchange for sex with a prostitute.

I asked the young lady if she would be long on the pubic phone - when my cell phone was not working. She blew up on me and called the police. I explained to the police that she flew off the handle - and the store clerk vouched for me. A few weeks later - he was shot in the head, and I learned that his witnessing for me might have got him killed. I am Black, the Karen was Black - but the police were White and Hispanic, and they didn't arrest me - but because she was a former cop - they threatened me.

The son of my parents lifelong friend - was acquitted in a murder case where he plead innocent. The losing prosecutor approached him after the acquittal, and said he "would be dead in less than six months." He was murdered a few months later, and nobody investigated the possible connection with the L.A. County District Attorney's office.

My mom was a school teacher who drove home each day along the same route. She never drank alcohol or took drugs, but was stopped by the LAPD and roughed up by two white cops. She passed the sobriety test, but they arrested her anyway, and she spent the night in jail, sat all the next day in the courtroom, and at the end of the day, the clerk told her she could leave. No charges were ever filed - it was simply a way to tramatize a Black woman. Her ribs were broken and she never trusted the police after that.

I photographed an accident, and a policeman came over and demanded to see all my footage. I showed it to him - but I realize that if I refused he would have brutalized me by the way he was acting. He was acting like a maniact. I detest law enforcement in America - they are bullies. Never visit Culver City.

I was probably the fastest at my job. I was painting roof-jacks in 104-degree heat - in a large housing track. My racist co-workers threw big rocks at me from the ground - trying to injure or kill me if I were to fall to the ground. Police were later called, but I lost my job and the racist co-workers kept theirs. After all, one of them was the son of the foreman. Bob Boyd
Riverside/San Bernardino Counties are still racist.

During the late 40s and 50s, my mother used to walk door-to-door, volunteering to register African Americans to vote. She was a farmer's daughter, very upstanding and decent, and believed that every American should serve their local community to make it a better place. She discovered that she was followed by White males in unmarked cars. She didn't report it to the police - because she didn't trust the police.

In 1947, LAPD pulled up and told my mother that she had been reported "Missing" by her family. She knew it was a lie, and suspected that they were trying to kidnapp, rape and murder her. A group of Jewish body builders miraculously walked up to the car - suspecting fowl play. The would-be rogue officers zoomed away.

I met an man in his late 80s who said that LAPD shot him by accident. No crime, no arrest - they just shot him. He didn't sue, and he wasn't compensated for medical expenses. I don't even know if anybody apologized to the father, grandfather and Real Estate broker. Why should they? He is Black - and Black people don't seem to have rights in Los Angeles.

My 7th grade teacher was sweating profusely and very agitated. He suddenly snapped and said, "You poked that girl.." ...talking about a classmate over 3 feet away, who I never looked at or touched. I was in the front row - right in the center of the room. Everybody in the room saw that I didn't poke the girl or even move. He demanded that I get out of the room, and when I denied poking the girl, he got even more angry. I was suspended from school and didn't realize until I was over 40, that he was a pedophile - lusting after my 14-year old classmate who he accused me of poking. But who cares about an African American school boy? I was just a scapegoat for a pedophile who probably abused thousands of children in the face of law enforcement - located across the street. White men can do anything and get away with it.

My elderly sister had a large wardrobe, and her caregiver took the most valuable clothes - about $20,000 in value.
We reported her caregiver, and she admitted that she was abused drugs and that her son was a herion addict, but denied taking my sister's clothing. They arrested her, but never searched her home for the clothes.

It was the day before Christmas, 2004, and I was poised to take the parking place that was being vacated, but a Mercedes pulled up - trying to nudge me out of the place from an angle that wouldn't allow her to turn cleanly into the place. She said she was LAPD and she asked if she could take my place. I was caring for disabled people at home and couldn't spare the time. She got out of her car, summoned mall security and tried to put me in handcuffs. I went to a nearby payphone and tried to report it to local police (not LAPD); but the operator hung up on me. Meanwhile, the off-duty policewoman got my parking place.

My neighbor's alarm was going wild, and when he returned home, a home invader met him at the door - pointing his own gun at him. He invader left immediately without harming the judge. He ran around the corner and sat in his parked car, and never left the scene.
About ten (10) Sheriff units parked in front of the judges house and a helicopter followed. When they were told by my son that the invader was around the corner (3 houses away), they all immediately returned to the station - which is in the opposite direction.

We were burglarized, and the thief's license plate, and a description of the car and the White male who came out of our window. Even though the pawn shop purchased our set from the same man, and reported it to the police - they refused to arrest him because our 13 year old neighbor was "not a reliable witness" even though all the evidence he offered was overwhelmingly collaborated by other witnesses and facts.

We reported dozens of SWATTING attacks on our home, and after reporting the fake reports to local police, they failed to obtain a search warrant against the suspect - allowing her to call dozens more times at a cost of $10,000 per false report. So the SWATTING continued until two family members passed away from extreme stress and two moved out of the house. Our local law enforcement is completely incompetent. To this day, even though the person had a police record - my local law enforcement won't investigate this person. I am the sole survivor in my family, and support Cong. Katherine Clark's legislation to make SWATT-ing a serious crime. But my own Congressperson ignored my email and letters. I am so frustrated - it seems nobody does their job at the highest levels, and police follow suit.

All 24 of my sister's classmates were groped and sexually assaulted by our sixth (6th) grade teacher. I was harassed by faculty but would not recant like 22 of my sister's classmates. They transferred me to another high school, where I was beaten up regularly. I am in a wheelchair. I received a scathing letter from the County Sheriff; instead of investigating my teacher, he scolded my sister for falsely accusing her teacher. This was in the late 60s.

I lived next to a powerful judge who severely beat his children and wife; but when the Sheriff came, they never arrested him. He used to flirt with our household worker, and his son even sicked their guard dog on my mother. They were terrible neighbors, had few friends and seemed to hate people. Why are people like this judges?

I was traveling on public transportation, and took some pictures of the river next to the train. This blonde-headed Karen and another woman both started staring hate darts at me, and I didn't know why. They came close to me like they wanted to attack me, and I asked them what their problem was - and they said that my photos of the river would help the "terrorists". I told them that my relatives had never traveled to that area and would love to see pictures. But they insisted I was a terrorist until I called the transit police and my camera and photos were inspected. The only reason they treated me like this was because I was Black - and I find it interesting that my life and photos had to be inspected by the police before I was left alone. America is a racist and horrible nation.

My brother rescued my neighbor my a gang of crack sellers who had come out of nowhere from the park across the street. I held one of the attackers in a headlock while calling the police with the other hand, and holding off about 10 others with my handgun.
My brother's neighbor was grateful and told the police what happened, but I was prosecuted for kidnapping and the attackers weren't even arrested. The judge threw it out at the first hearing but I had to spend thousands on my defense. When I moved out, my tenant was sleeping in the same bedroom I lived in. Somebody shot into the window and murdered him.

Nobody ever investigated the attempt on my life and I suspect it was somebody from the L.A. Sheriff.

My uncle was the first Black detective in Beverly Hills during the late 40s, after the war. He and his Black partner solved a lot of vice cases, because there was a lot of prostitution, gambling and illegal drugs in the wild party
scene after the war. One day, as he was walking to his car, somebody hit him from behind. He woke up in the hospital with a severe head injury. From that time, his blood pressure rose to a dangerous level and he was forced to retire.
1995
I was at the courthouse downtown, and in the hallway, I saw a young Black man in a wheelchair, with black eyes, bandages on his head, and bruises all over his face. His leg was in a cast and splint, and he looked very sad. I asked him what happened, and he said the police beat him up. I will always wonder why they beat him up - but I think it was probably because they "could" and they knew they would get away with it. I am thinking about moving.

My distant cousin was homeless, and lived near the White House in Washington D.C. with homeless veterans and others in a small community. He used to tape a knife to his arm - in case he was robbed in his sleep. When police came by, and told him to raise his hands - they saw the knife sticking up from his arm, where his amputated hand had only left a stump. The police saw the knife - and shot him dead. Imagine - being homeless, disabled, and then shot dead when following police orders precisely. There is an extreme problem in America - but police have not even contributing to a solution. I will not stop praying until this ends. I keep thinking about my cousin - he was Black. He can no longer tell his story - so I'm telling it to the world. Because his life mattered.

Our home was SWATTED more than 30 times, by a hostile relative who used to call us right before - and taunt us. The police kept barging in - thinking there was no emergency. We tried to talk to the rescue squads, SWATT teams, fire department and other agencies -- about the source of the false alarms - but they were completely hostile, even after they found out they were false. The police didn't even want to take a crime report - after over 20 false alarms.
y family members got no relief, and when law enforcement finally took a report - they didn't do anything. The harassing calls and false reports to SWAT and fire department, kept coming. As a result of the constant threat of jack booted thugs bursting into our home - my sibling stopped taking their bi-polar meds, refused to see a doctor, left their family home - and soon passed away from a condition made worse by gross medical neglect.

My landlord's wife was unfaithful to her elderly Black husband, and she openly propositioned me when I was fixing wiring in their rental properties. I told the husband and he told me that she changed the life insurance - without his knowledge. He also said that she had hired a hit-man to kill him and traffic his two teenage daughters. The wife then made false reports against me - and when I told the police about it - they refused to investigate, threatened to kill me and my family. I couldn't understand it - and suspect she was connected to some immigrant gang, drug cartel or something. I reported it to the local media, and they interviewed a few of the local cops who refused to investigate. It got very serious. I got serious death threats and people started following me in my car. Every other officer (including the chief), that I talked to about the situation would hang up the phone or walk away when I reported it. It turns out that my landlord's wife was suspected in the murder of his son years before. My local city council person started to cry on the phone when I told her about it - and then soon quit her job. I immediately left town. When I brought a lawsuit against my landlord (months later), I met another woman who was suing her landlord for attempted murder. You see, she refused to discriminate against Black tenant applicants. America is not safe. It seems that every cop is - indeed - a criminal. At least in my city.

I used to work in a district attorneys' office, and recently talked to a man who said that as he parked on the street he saw a man dressed in all Black, with a black mask and hood in his rear-view mirror, getting out of an unmarked SUV parked behind him. He thought it was some kind of terrorist, got back into his car and sped away. He didn't know that it was a policeman -- until he was followed by police when he saw cars chasing him with police lights and siren, and in the panic to escape - he hit another car. He was charged with felony evading and reckless driving - even though the police were raiding his neighbor and he was justifiably in fear of his life.
The local district attorney refused to drop the charges when he discovered that the police had actually caused the situation. And they ask us to cooperate with them. What a big lie.

I was eight (8) and my brother nine (9) when we were stopped by the state highway patrol. When my mother asked if she could sign the ticket at the local courthouse - they immediately yanked her out of the car, beat her up, ripped her clothing and jailed her for 12 hours. They snapped in a way that reminded me of the same behavior in a recent movie - they interpret any communication as a challenge to their authority. I think they would have killed my mother if were weren't in a busy area. I am Black and when we sued the officers, one of them approached me in court - telling me that "you didn't see me beat your mother...". I remember his bad breath.

My uncle was dressed in a full tuxedo when he was stopped in his Rolls Royce by a racist policeman - who stopped him because he was a Black man in an expensive car. When he got out to give the officer his licence - the officer slammed the door hard on my uncle's leg. My uncle knocked the policeman out cold, went on to attend the wedding for his friend - only to be framed months later in an unrelated incident, involving an acquaintence who got in trouble with the law. My uncle was wrongly convicted and served time in prison during World War II - possibly saving him from the Normandy invasion & slaughter. Even so, my uncle didn't deserve to be put in prison.

A woman said that right after her sister was sworn in as a peace officer, she left her station the first week of her assignment, only to find that one of her fellow officers has poured red fingernail police all over the hood of her personal car. It was a brand new car, and it had to be repainted.
I wonder what type of culture exists in my local law enforcement - when they attack a brand new officer just because she is a Black woman(?). I don't like it - and want to get out of my current town where the cops are bullies.

I was in a rush to return to care for my sick family member, and I was waiting in line at Chase Bank - but the manager was not responding to the teller's request to approve my check. The White man behind me looked like he was homeless and angry. When I was talking to the manager, he got irritated and threatened me with a knife. The assistant manager walked up and asked me to leave or he would "call the police". I withdrew all our family's funds out of several accounts - because if I had challenged the incompetent, racist, assistant-manager, my sick family member would have been left alone - and in danger. I feel that sometimes police aren't there when you need them, and I realize that we as Americans, pay for police service that we don't get.

A large group of police banged on our door, and when I opened it - one officer almost stormed in on top of me. They didn't have a warrant and there was no crime, and the officer in charge told me that a person had made an anonymous report. I agreed to let two officers do a safety check, but recognized a third officer as one who (a few years prior) tried to seduce a intoxicated woman who had crashed into my car. I realized that he was probably fired from the other agency in town, and rehired by the county. I asked him to stand outside the door - and he stood at the threshold, staring at my elderly mother - nose to nose. His defiant behavior was an actually assault of my mother to intimidate and threaten her. After the other two officers completed their safety check, I asked them for their names and business cards. They kept walking. As a Black American who owns property and pays taxes - I feel I have no rights.

It was an obvious set-up by somebody who was probably trying to perpetrate insurance fraud - but because they rear-ended me, they would be automatically ruled at fault.
I exchanged license and insurance information, provided my phone and address and let her know I was fully insured. I was rushing to a meeting so I didn't argue about who was at fault - she was quite nuts.
That night, after a long day, her husband called me at my hotel and started threatening me! He said he was a fireman and used his police connections to find out where I was staying. When I told him that I provided my ID, and insurance information to his wife - he insisted that I did not. When I asked him - "how then did you find my name to check the hotel registry?" and he changed the subject, and insisted that I pay cash for the damage his wife did to his car. I asked him to stop trying to stalk and threaten me, and hung up. The next day, the police asked me to come in so they could inspect the car and interview me - which I did. They ruled that the accident was "inconclusive" even though I was in front and was rear-ended. Nevertheless, I was not sited as "at fault" by the local police, and my insurance company told me that I was not going to be charged extra because of the accident.
I made a huge salary at that time, and have never heard of such a thing happening to any of my White co-workers. I believe I was taken through all the garbage that I experienced - because I was Black. If I were White, I believe the woman would have been arrested for her outrageous behavior. I will not feel the same way about this city.

I remember the young actor on the old Steve Harvey Show, named "Romeo". Some girl who was obsessed with him set him up for murder and nobody really seemed to care. He was a famous and popular actor - but because he was Black, it seems like everybody in all-White Hollywood tossed him under the bus and ignored what was going on. Same thing happened to Brian Banks - only he was put in jail for a rape that never took place. Central Park 5, Geronimo Pratt, and so many other innocent people put in jail for crimes they didn't commit - because they were Black. Because they tried to take leadership. Because they tried to purchase a TV network! A lot of my friends in my old neighborhood - are dead. Those who moved away are doing much better. Why? Police don't shoot as many Black people in the suburbs. This nation is not right. I really appreciate this site. I hurt so bad - and this site lets me know others have been hurt too. Black people need special protection.

I was leaving the stadium after an exciting game, and the driver and passenger in the car behind me was drunk. The passenger got out and started beating my car - trying to smash the glass - right in front of the traffic police. He then tore my door open, smashed me in the face and speed away - but was caught in traffic a block away.
The traffic cop didn't even call for help, or report the drunken brawler - because the brawler was White, drove a Mercedes - and I was Black, I guess. I got his license plate, reported it to the city police desk - and was told to forget it. I saw one of my high school mates in the station - but he offered no support.

My employer attacked me physically, and the office was right next door to the police department. The employer was a powerful millionaire, and even though the entire scene was witnessed by other employees and captured on the security cameras outside the building - they didn't arrest the employer.
It is clear - rich Black people can bully poor Black people - and get away with it.

Roger and I used to play in the neighborhood when we were kids. He was White and I was Black - and didn't have bicycles yet - so we pretty much tore everything up while on foot. But we were good kids, we didn't ever play with fire and burn things up. One day, on the way to school - we pushed the ignition button on an open cab jeep, and made the starter moter purr. We liked the sound, and because there was no key in the ignition, the car didn't start and we didn't think it would be harmed. But after we left, the car experienced a short, started on fire and burned up. We were asked by the fire department what happened. I told the truth, but Roger told the firemen that he saw a book of matches in my hand. I realized that Roger was a little too dim-witted to make up a story so lame, and that his parents probably told him tos ay that. Of course, the fire department knew it was an electrical fire and that Roger was making the story up completely. But why did my former friend's parents feel so compelled to throw me under the bus? I think it was because I was Black and he was White - and wanted to use his status to marginalize me as a way of removing himself from suspicion. It was a bit too complex and perverse for most 7 year-olds to cook up on their own. But I realized that Roger was extremely tortured, and he never spoke to me again, and I assumed his parents were ignorant racists.
I am so grateful that the police didn't believe his story - but I realize that this is the type of American who would betray their own friend because they are Black. Who need's racists on your jury - when your best friend would sell you out when there was virtually no real pressure to do so. I am now a senior citizen, but see the same behavior in our society. Racism and the scapegoating of Black men is a serious problem in our culture.

I got my oil change at one of the fast-lube businesses that setup in places previously used by gas stations. The service manager ripped the dip stick out of my hands - in a wild and unprovoked response to my question about the oil level. A police man was right there, and when I asked him to arrest the violent employee - he suggested that the violent reaction to my question was warranted because "I was rude" ....
I was Black, and the service manager who ripped my own dip stick out of my hand - was an Iranian immigrant. Kind of shows you where citizens rate, Black citizens are obviously second class citizens when it comes to police. Violence explodes in the cities because police allow non-Black people to abuse Black people until the victims retaliate.

I had just buried my late family members; I'm a senior and the sole survivor in my once family of five. A crazy white woman crashed my estate sale that I held in the front of my home. I asked her to leave, and she said she worked for our HOA - and that I had violated the "rules."
The next day a thug came into my home, threatened my life, and before he could lay his hands on me - he was surprised when I met him as he walked towards the center of my home. He was dressed in street clothes - said that he worked for the local law enforcement department, and that he was sent by the HOA! He then stepped back in shock when he saw that I had about 10 guests in my home - he quickly excited. Who do you call when the local police work as hired thugs and home invaders in their time off?

I just got out of Intensive Care and was very sick, but my landlady wanted me out. When I refused to let her barge into my apartment and remove the evidence that she left while rummaging through my place while I was in the hospital. So she called the police and made a false report, they came and threatened my life. When the officer recognized me, he backed off his threats - but they never investigated the burglary of my apartment - and I don't communicate with the agency that works with criminal landladies. Here is why they treated me like dirt - she was an abusive woman who mistreats all the people in her life. She charmed the racist cops into almost arresting me - and I would have been arrested if I had not known one of the officers.

My elderly uncle's brother-in-law was neglecting his care, abusing his disabled son, and stealing money from his bank account. We called authorities - and they dismissed our concerns.
When social services was called in, he got a social worker - but died very shortly thereafter. No surprise that the son and heir was found dead in the home just a few months later. And no surprise that the abusive brother-in-law then gained control of my uncle's multi-million-dollar businesses and revenue. The state doesn't protect seniors, just like it does not protect children - and social workers get away with murder.

I sued the police a few years ago - and my phone calls are constantly interrupted, cut off, subject to disruption and even background noises at any time. Especially when I talk about police. It is not by accident. I think the cops are dishonest enough to tap anybody's phone for anything.

I cared for an elderly woman, took her to the doctor, and witnessed how her doctor perpetrated fraud that denied the woman care that was covered under her medical plan. Her HMO did an investigation and confirmed that the doctor and his assistant were lying about authorizing care that they did not order. The woman passed away from a condition that may have been detected earlier had she received the care she was due.
When I talk to attorneys - they say that I can't do anything about it - and I think they would do this to other elderly patients. So doctors are literally murdering their patients - and nothing is done about it. What good are police? Elderly people are being mass murdered by healthcare professionals - and they seem to be immune from both civil and criminal liability. America does not care about its senior citizens.

My elderly friend's husband was killed by a horrible mistake in the emergency room. She found out that the doctor who was responsible had his license revoked years prior, and yet, the California Highway Patrol was not enforcing license compliance. Rogue doctors were being employed at clinics and hospitals all over - and nobody was screening or enforcing the law. People were dying, but nobody was held responsible. I don't even think things have changed since my friend's husband passed away.

I was working on a multi-million dollar design when the office assistant crept up from behind me - and ground his genitals into my back - when I was not looking. I reported this once before, but the company did nothing. This was in San Francisco, and I knew that if I reported it - I would be fired. So gathered up my stuff, updated my resume, moved out of this very hostile city towards straight males - and got a much better job. A job where I didn't feel the police would side with a person who sexually assaulted me. San Francisco was known for this type of anti-straight culture. I will not be caught off guard in the city by the bay - again!

My old girlfriend was a beautiful woman in her early 30s, but her father - who worked for the LAPD - died very early from a heart-attack. He was Black and worked on a motorcycle. His White fellow-officers planted bombs in his motorcycle, and his blood pressure finally burst his heart into pieces. Her heart was broken, and she had a stroke in her mid-30s, and became paralyzed below the neck.

Instead of arresting the young burglar, the detective told me where helived and worked (which I told him before that) and his criminal background. I felt that he was dumping his job on me - after alerting the suspect and making him flee. Detectives can be completely incompetent and get a lifetime career with pention - without any independent verification or auditing of their work. As a taxpayer, I feel like no American is able to get quality police work - the unions back the corrupt officers every time.
The detective was Black, and I'm White - but I got the feeling like he wasn't doing his job as objectively because the young man had a raw deal in life. So his solution was to not do his job and let him keep harming others
