Why We are Unique
Many established civil rights organizations have become compromised or ineffective. Some civil rights groups have suffered from financial mismanagement, inefficiency, poor priorities, and sometimes, a distraction from their core missions. Some groups compete with other groups and organizations, and they sometimes become sidetracked with poor leadership, or sabotaged by new agendas. The messaging problems and management issues suffered by a police reform civil rights group (they will go unnamed) - were highly predictable. The same problems have plagued older and more established civil rights groups. NoCitizenLeftBehind's structure and practices will ensure that it remains an ongoing effective operation, achievement of goals, and tight accounting.
No Citizen Left Behind wants to unite Americans from all races, religions, nationalities, gender status, etc. - to unite together on a common constitutional and humane goal. Our board of directors and board of advisors will include members from all demographics, and our focus teams will include experts in discrimination from all groups in our society.
We wish to attack the stigma placed on victims of police mistakes and abuse; typically poor people, people who are falsely arrested, innocent victims and bystanders, witnesses and whistle-blowers - and the lesser regard for the sanctity of life of vulnerable classes, as reflected i police behavior, attitudes, policies and practices around the nation.
Our goal is to exploit the current window of opportunity -- where a large number of Americans believe that there is widespread racial bias, excessive use of force and injustice in American law enforcement -- to affect profound changes. Almost every topic related to policing is now open for discussion by every American! We believe it is now more possible than e to make immediate improvements in police interactions with minorities, homeless, disabled, seniors, pregnant, children, emotionally ill and victims of acute trauma.
Another way that wed are different - we are narrowly focused on our mission and goals; so we'll take pains to avoid delving into unrelated controvercial politics and culture, so that we can build a more focused and effective organization.
