No Citizen Left Behind is a Christian-based organization dedicated to the lesson taught by Jesus in the story of the Good Samaritan in the Bible (Luke 10:25-37). Our name is also our motto -- to "Leave No Citizen Behind" and we will adopt aggressive positions, policies, and strategies in the world of civil rights - to achieve that motto. We seek to promote minimal force policy nation wide, and seek to prevent the loss of life in every possible situation. We will attempt to promote justice, and we'll also try help victims of injustice financially, and understand the psychology and the motivations of all those involved. We will seek to use education, communication, and pressure from voters - as our primary strategies to foster change.
No Citizen Left Behind will be governed and managed by a lean and mean team of experienced and results-oriented professionals, who will be highly paid and rewarded for achieving major goals with a minimum of financial or human expense, utilizing the news media, social media and our own supports and members to help us fulfill goals and solve problems that that many civil rights organizations are afraid to even talk about.
We will strive to be non-political, and one of our goals will be to build bridges between established civil rights organizations, new generation civil rights groups, and ethical law enforcement. In the famous Bible account of the Good Samaritan, as told in Luke 10:25-37, Jesus talks about how the highly respected priest and then a Levite left half dead, naked man alongside the road, and how a Samaritan not only helped tend to his wounds, but he clothed him and put him up at the local inn. In this story, Jesus is teaching us what it is to be a good neighbor. Life Preservation will also take the lead in fighting the divisive pattern of demonization that is typically always aimed at the officer or accused. We will push back hard on the trend towards talking about cases before trial and attacking the accused - be they citizen or implicated officers. If officers caught up in excessive force scandals are not viewed as human beings and their personalities and motivations not considered in the formulation of policy - valuable information is lost.
We hope to teach every American that it is their civic and moral duty to stand up for those who are victims of injustice. And there is plenty of injustice to go around. Even wealthy citizens can be bankrupted by a simple false prosecution, or from medical bills resulting from a beating or serious injury caused by police. When minorities, youth, immigrants are prosecuted - they are often falsely prosecuted and never given competent legal defense. In some states, they are often not granted the right to an attorney - and there have been many cases where minor offenses resulted in long prison terms. Some estimates indicate that as many as 18% of those prosecuted in U.S. courts are innocent. We mean to change that flaw, and other major flaws in our justice system.
We will work both behind the scenes and in front of a global media audience. We will stand in cooperative partnership with all other civil rights organizations that share our positions, and we will formulate winning national strategies for change in the key areas that affect American law enforcement. Our strategy is based on the belief that education is the key to change and reform, and that arming the public with facts is the best weapon against intransigent government and localities that hire unfit law enforcement.
The founder's team's knowledge and experience in civil rights teaches us about the importance of fund raising, so we plan on aggressive donation campaigns, fund raising events and promotion of the same in social and broadcast media.
Our executive leadership will consist of a small board of directors, and a primary and extended board of advisors. Our recruiting will be done carefully; so that every member of our management team possesses leadership experience and endorsements from peers and citizen benefactors.
To insure that the organization stays focused on its mission, its charter will include provisions for automatic dissolution if the board of directors act in ways that even slightly deviate from the same.
Our extensive library of actual misconduct by police, prosecutors, judges - will provide education for citizens and the media. Our information will educate Americans about the cities with the best and worse law enforcement. We will support candidates for office that support serious police reform and condemn officials who have ignored or even contributed to the problem of injustice in America. We will train millions of our members to share information and facts in social networks, with the goal of mass education. We believe that our nation is at risk of becoming a horrible place for everybody to live, and that it is necessary for every citizen to join our fight.
